Dear colleagues, swarm robotics is a research field that focuses on the combination of swarm intelligence and robotics. swarm intelligence describes the mechanisms of intelligence achieved at the system (global) level resulting from individuals’ simple behaviors and intensive interactions. swarm intelligence is observed across different.

Swarm Robots Trigger Artificial Intelligence Breakthrough New World Abstract. swarm intelligence (si) is a collective behavior that emerges from interaction between individuals in a group. typical si includes fish schooling, ant foraging, bird migration, and so on. a great deal of models have been introduced to characterize the mechanism of si. this article reviews several typical models and classifies them. Specifically, we show that aerial swarms with predictive control display faster flight while guaranteeing safe navigation in cluttered environments, they can adapt to diverse obstacle densities. Swarm intelligence leverages collective behaviours emerging from interaction and activity of several “simple” agents to solve problems in various environments. one problem of interest in large swarms featuring a variety of sub goals is swarm clustering, where the individuals of a swarm are assigned or choose to belong to zero or more groups, also called clusters. in this work, we address. Most research into swarm intelligence explores swarms of autonomous robots or simulated agents. little work, however, has been done on swarms of networked humans. this paper introduces unu, an online platform that enables networked users to assemble in real time swarms and tackle problems as an artificial swarm intelligence (asi). Swarm control takes the form of controlling the observable swarm body while robot chains connect the human operator to relevant aspects of the environment. inspired by how natural bodies are controlled by a nervous system, we here investigate how the swarm body’s self organisation can be influenced by robot chains acting as embodied neural.
