Sunroof Not Working At Randall Harden Blog 1. press and hold the sunroof close switch until the sunroof stops at the closed position. 2. release sunroof switch. 3. press and hold sunroof close switch once again for at least 10 seconds. after 10 seconds of pressing the close switch the sunroof glass will automatically move into the vent position and stop. 4. Initializing your sunroof. now, push and hold the sunroof button up (vent position). after about 15 20 seconds, the sunroof will vent. continue holding the button up. after another couple of seconds, 15 or so (could feel long, but keep holding) , the sunroof will close, the open completely, then close completely.
Sunroof Not Working At Randall Harden Blog Not sure why but i had to recode the sunroof to the car i recently had two recalls done on the car ( last week ). i realized the sunroof stopped working after that. i went to a junkyard today and got a sunroof motor. i also picked up a rearview mirror with compass homelink and the wiring harness. as well as the trim piece around the cupholders. I clean out the springs and hinges really well then re grease it. if your in town and it won’t close. just hold the defector down and close it, but going 45 55mph it has enough wind pressure to close on its own. reply like. this is an older thread, you may not receive a response, and could be reviving an old thread. 6). the fuse protects the sunroof from surges. unfortunately, the sunroof won’t work if the fuse blows. check the fuse box and replace every fuse that blows. 7). check the switch assembly in the ceiling and clean it. 8). test the motor. replace the component if it fails the test.
