Our Residents Amcmedpeds Our residents amcmedpeds. primary care, preventive medicine, geriatrics, adolescent medicine. learn as much as i can during residency while enjoying myself along the way! originally from rochester, ny i traded the lake effect snow for tropical sunshine when i moved to puerto rico for medical school. Our camaraderie permeates through our relationships with resident and faculty colleagues at all levels and specialties within albany med. we love our med peds identity while also finding joy in integrating with our fellow categorical residents! our community: whether local or abroad, we feel a deep sense of pride in the communities we serve.

Our Residents Amcmedpeds Dr. light attended medical school at the university of rochester. she then graduated from our med peds residency program in 2013 and continued her training with our primary care sports medicine fellowship. she has joined the amc sports medicine faculty where she has the opportunity to teach future sports medicine fellows and med peds residents. Our internal medicine pediatrics residency program was established in 1980 and is one of the oldest such programs in the country. albany medical college, established in 1839, is one of the oldest medical schools in the country and adds to our rich academic environment. our program offers residents a rich variety of educational and professional. Our practice is a ncqa level 3 certified primary care site serving as the patient centered medical home (pcmh) to our 11 full time ambulatory faculty, 16 residents, and over 12,000 patients. the residency includes dedicated nursing and administrative support staff to help promote continuity of care and foster better provider patient communication. Albany medical center internal medicine & pediatrics office our ambulatory office is located in cohoes, about 10 miles north of albany. staffed by our med peds faculty, it is a patient centered medical home for over 12,000 patients, and a home away from home for our residents, who develop and maintain their own panel of patients, including those who they care for during their inpatient.
