The other kirby game on the switch, super kirby clash, is hardly worth playing. not only is the game very money hungry, but it's overall rather boring to play. the only reason i can possibly imagine to play it is because it contains a few interesting lore secrets, and even then, you can just look those up. 1. award. Planet robobot, no doubt. to me, triple deluxe was the first kirby game that came out on the 3ds so it kind of feels like hal was experimenting all kinds of things for it. it's still a good game imo. planet robobot was made after triple deluxe so it pretty much updates some of what that game has and improves on it even more. Definitely seems rushed, as it isn't optimized<(it's 30fps instead of 60fps), gameplay balance isn't that good(too easy except for the ultimate choice on higher difficulties) and is lacking on content considering triple deluxe and planet robobot has around the same amount. dlc dream allies being added via updates is yet another example.

I personally think that the other three modern 2d kirby games (rtdl, triple deluxe, and robobot) are a bit better overall than star allies. but star allies with all of the post launch content is still a good game, even if it has some flaws, and if you have fond memories of previous eras of kirby the dream friends are really great as fanservice additions. Objectively speaking, i completely disagree. planet robobot has much better level design, a creative aesthetic with the mechanized pop star giving the game a relatively unique look for kirby, much smoother performance than star allies, much much better mini games , a well implemented gimmick in robobot armor, and a better degree of difficulty (in that it actually has a little).
