Ford F150 5 0 Engine Single Cab I'm looking at a used 2015 5.0 f150 lariat. it's optioned out and is everything i wanted, on top of being a pristine truck. two owner, garage kept with all service records including oil changes back to the day it was bought. there isn't a scuff on the entire truck, even the interior is flawless. however, the mileage is up there at 145,000mi. From searching forums and what not, it seems like it's pretty common for 5.0s to use oil and develop oil pressure issues, so i may start looking at ecoboosts. i love 12th gen trucks, the first vehicle i ever bought myself was a 2010 5.4l that i sold in 2015 to pay off student loans, and i still miss it.

Or should i expect to get many more so long as it’s been maintained? edit: just got the carfax from the dealer and the truck has been serviced at a ford dealership every 3 months since it was new there’s a 2015 5.0 4x4 (sport) in my area with 147k miles for $25,000 which is considered a good deal in my neck of the woods.

I'm running the old 5.4 with 186xxx miles with penzoil full synthetic high mileage 5w30 and it really quitens down my cam phasers over 5w20. fordmakuloco also ran lucas oil stabilizer in a 5.0 when it got to higher mileage and started losing oil pressure when warm at idle. i just bought my 11 screw 5.0 with 107k on it.
