Celebrating Lgbt History Month 2023 Articles University о For 2023 the theme is “behind the lens”, celebrating and honouring lgbtq peoples’ contribution to cinema and film from behind the lens. this includes: directors, cinematographers, screen writers, producers, animators, costume designers, special effects, make up artists, lighting directors, musicians, choreographers and beyond. This year we will celebrate pride in style as university of greenwich has been awarded gold stonewall accreditation, named 20 th in stonewalls top 100 index and 2 nd in the higher education sector. this month we both look back at our achievements so far and ahead to chart how we will become sector leading in lgbt inclusion.

Celebrating Lgbt History Month In February Articles University This year, the lgbt staff community have split the month in to 4 key themes: personal history: exploring lgbt individual and personal journeys. cultural history: looking at the social development of lgbt culture. medical and healthcare history: reviewing the historical changes, and contemporary issues that face lgbt people within healthcare. About. lgbtq history month is held annually to celebrate the diversity of the lgbtq community, including lesbian, transgender, and all others along their sexuality and gender journeys. the month not only celebrates but also provides a space for acknowledgment, reflection, and healing from past injustices and a focus on influential movements. 8th december 2022. february 2023. throughout february, royal museums greenwich (rmg) will celebrate lgbtq history month with a season of events for adults and children. rmg will work with members of the lgbtq community and draw from rmg’s own collection to celebrate and reflect on lgbtq lives throughout history.
