Thanks 1badmofo! its good to know that the suspension side of things will be grand! thinking about it more, im sure i could just swap the 335i hubs and brakes onto the m3 subframe since everyones already using all the rear m3 arms as upgrades, except the ones that hold the shocks as the 335i shocks are different (not joined the same at the base) compared to the m3 ones.

Keep the brakes, keep the wheels. the front is no issue, the 135 hubs with 335 brakes will bolt right on with the 135 tie rods. this is basically exactly what i already have since i had an m3 rack and control arms in the 135 already. issue is then the rear, the balance would definitely be off with 335 front brakes and m3 rear brakes. All in it was probably 1k of parts 1k install. i have a ps2 meth m3 rear end up next. spoke to my local bmw tuning shop the turbo upgrade will probably come in at around 4 5k with parts install. the m3 rear will be about the same (maybe a bit more depending on the modification needed for the drive shaft). After pressing in the bushings every thing is the reverse pushing back in your subframe and raise it then bolt everything back up and get an alignment and bleed brakes. also recommend replacing differential fluid since your differential is already out. torque values: rear shock: 100nm. subframe: 100nm m12.

Steps required to overhaul a bmw e46 m3 rear subframe: step 1: remove the disc brake assembly. with the car in the air and the rear wheels removed, use a 6mm hex bit socket to remove the set screw in the brake rotor. the screws are known to seize from corrosion, causing the heads to strip, so be careful during removal.
