Basically the incident happens how it does in canon, but with one major difference, sunny jumps down and grabs onto mari when she falls, and ends up taking the brunt of the damage and (without realizing it, saves mari's life), falls into a coma. basil sees this happen, but mari doesn't see him, he runs and calls an ambulance for him and hides.
