3 X 3 Summer Blast Richmond Yacht Club Welcome to richmond yacht club committed to serious sailing and fun since 1932. ryc members are active sailors, and our beautiful point richmond location provides an excellent sailing venue. we host both world class championships and many other small and big boat regattas for competitors of all ages. Dates: december 3, 2023 january 7, 2024 february 4, 2024 march 3, 2024. four fun sundays of racing on 3 courses on the richmond riviera are offered for centerboard boats and the wabbit, ultimate 20, and mercury classes. classes with 5 or more boats receive their own start. open classes are offered for all other boats, with time on time. Grab a sail pass for $250 to cover all your race fees for the season, plus a 50% discount for the 3 x 3 summer blast, route 66 and gulf triangle singlehanded challenge. dinghy lockers we have standard and large dinghy lockers and medium sized storage lockers available for rent – please contact the office for rates and current availability. The program teaches junior sailors, ages 8 – 18, to safely enjoy and have fun learning the art and sport of sailing. the ryc program is designed to be accessible to a wide range of students and relies on volunteers to keep costs reasonable for all. classes are taught in optimists, el toros, lasers, fjs 420s and j22s.
